Nanotechnology and Nanomaterials

Federally funded R&D in nanotechnology and nanomaterials has been greatly influenced by Vision2020 activities and publications.

Vision2020 makes recommendations periodically to government R&D programs on the chemical and allied industries' priorities for nano-related R&D. In addition, we provide forums to coordinate company and government R&D. Over time, we have collaborated with the semiconductor industry, NNI, NIST, NSF, DOD, FDA, ITC, Rice University, and others. Committees of member companies are formed as needed to pursue opportunities. When the project is complete, the committee disbands. We need chemical companies with nanotechnology interests to step up and help Vision2020 guide government investments.
