Measures of Success
green line

The success of Vision2020 is both tangible (e.g., number of R&D partnerships) and intangible (e.g., opportunities for networking). From energy savings to value created, it is clear that Vision2020 is making an impact. The metrics for measuring just how successful the partnership is includes measures for the creation and dissemination of knowledge, project results, and the extent of awareness of Vision2020.

Initially, Vision2020's success will be measured by:

  • Growth in the number of companies participating in Vision2020
  • Number of companies on the Steering Committee
  • Diversity of the representation
  • Number of R&D Collaborations arising from Vision2020 initiatives and support:
    • ChemPlus
    • NIST activities addressing Vision2020 priorities
    • DOE/EERE Industries of the Future
    • Other sources
  • Requests for Vision2020 participation in identifying needs and fostering collaboration:
    • Government Agencies - DOE, National Science Foundation, Environmental Protection Agency
    • Industry Groups - American Chemistry Council
    • Universities
